Holidays in Canada is observed in commemoration of religion, culture, and to honor the great personnel. List of holiday in Canada differ according to the federal and provincial level.
Public holiday is also known as a statutory holiday. There are altogether 11 nationwide holidays observed in Canada. Out of them, five are statutory holidays and an additional six are for federal employees.

Victoria day :
This day marks the birthday of queen victoria. It is observed in six provinces out of ten and all those three territories.
August civic day :
This day is the day for recreation in most of the states. People recognize it by different names in different provinces. for instance, British Columbia as British Columbia day, heritage day in Alberta natal day in nova scotia, and so on.
Thanksgiving day :
This day is also known as Canadian Thanksgiving day in order to distinguish it from the Americans thanksgiving day. It has been observing to celebrate the harvest of last year. Also, be thankful for the almighty god for this.
Remembrance day :
Canadians celebrate remembrance day in remembrance of all those who served for the national defense. It is also known as armistice day. Moreover, war memorial, cemeteries hold two minutes of silence on this day.
Boxing day :
December 26 marks the observance of this day after Christmas day. In the past, employers would give presents to staff on the occasion of Christmas called “boxes”. from then to now it is a boxing day.
